Junior Academic Advisor
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Life Science Disciplines)
Experience: 0 - 1 Year
Location: South End Circle, Jayanagar
1. Assist fellows / pupils in course selection (offline, hybrid and online academic programs) and registration, ensuring they meet program requirements and timelines.
2. Provide individualized academic advising to fellows / pupils, helping them develop and achieve their academic goals.
3. Participate in the planning and execution of onboarding programs, workshops, and other events to support student development.
4. Refer fellows / pupils to appropriate departmental resources (e.g., tutoring, counseling, career services) as necessary.
5. Assist in admissions, onboarding, planning, organizing academic events, workshops, and seminars.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of fellows / pupils interactions and advising sessions.
7. Offer guidance on academic policies, procedures, and resources available within the institute.
8. Stay current with trends and best practices in academic advising and professional education.
9. Complete and document mandatory training for this role within specified timelines.
10. Prepare reports on advising activities, fellows / pupils progress, and program outcomes
11. Maintain and update records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and prerequisites:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Zoology, and other Life Science disciplines.
2. Willing to commit to a work schedule that includes Monday through Saturday.
3. Good listening skills to understand fellows / pupils needs and concerns, and ability to explain responses clearly.
4. Knowing how to ask the right questions to understand customer needs.
5. Enthusiasm and a positive outlook to keep the conversation engaging
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. A strong desire to be part of a collaborative and learning team.
8. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to manage call schedules and follow-ups effectively.
10. Understanding fundamental sales principles.
